Electric Lighting Agencies, Inc. was founded in 1955. The company’s original name was Electric Agencies and has since grown to be the oldest and largest commercial lighting manufacturer’s representative in the New York Metropolitan area.

E.L.A. currently has approximately 50 employees and operates from three locations: New York City, Fairfield, NJ and Jericho, Long Island. Each office is staffed to assist the lighting community with creative and technical solutions for specific project applications as well as customer service for order entry, expediting and inside sales support.

Electric Lighting has a long-standing tradition of excellence and professional representation and continues to grow by providing  products of quality and integrity. The company’s success has been structured by its exceptional loyal base of qualified employees providing unsurpassed service to our valued customers.

In 2010 the agency merged with the Encore Sales Agency and Encore Emergency Lighting, and established a “new beginning” representing the Juno Lighting Group, Hubbell Lighting Inc., and Color Kinetics in addition to all of our other exceptional manufacturers.
