3-Legged Dog is a community-oriented and artist-run production development studio. We offer artists a unique experience with specialized equipment, flexible space and expert knowledge, as well as the desperately needed time to fully realize their visions. If New York City is to remain at the forefront of cultural production, then its artists must have the means to create cutting-edge work. Opened by the company in 2006, 3LD Art & Technology Center is a 12,500 square foot multi-venue facility on lower Greenwich Street, two and half blocks below the WTC site. From this home base, we produce our own large-scale artwork while offering space, state-of-the-art equipment, and training to artists-in-residence for the development of their ambitious and experimental projects. 3LD has received support from The Department of Cultural Affairs, The Rockefeller Foundation Cultural Innovation Fund, The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation New York Theater Fund of the New York Foundation for the Arts, The Doris Duke Foundation, The Downtown Alliance, American Express Foundation, The Marty and Dorothy Silverman Foundation, The Robert Sterling Clark Foundation, FJC Foundation of Donor Advised Funds, Fund for the City of New York, Alliance of Resident Theaters New York and La Vida Feliz Foundation. This production was supported with earned revenue from the 3LD Production Fund.
