New York, NY – June, 2017 – Times Square Arts announced today that they have partnered with Advertising Week and are seeking submissions of original moving image art from artists working in the field of advertising. The winner’s work will be exhibited on participating electronic billboards in Times Square as the Midnight Moment for the full month of September 2017, 11:57 PM – 12:00 AM, in celebration of the 14th edition of Advertising Week in New York, the premiere event for marketing, brand, advertising, and technology professionals. The submission deadline for final works is July 1st.
Midnight Moment is the world’s largest, longest-running digital art exhibition, synchronized on electronic billboards throughout Times Square nightly from 11:57pm to midnight. Presented by the Times Square Advertising Coalition and curated by Times Square Arts since 2012, it has an estimated annual viewership of 2.5 million. Past artists who have had their work exhibited as part of the Midnight Moment exhibition include Yoko Ono, Laurie Anderson, Robert Wilson, Pipilotti Rist, Bjork and Andy Warhol.
